Again the FRITSCH Milling and Sizing Team participated in the “The Economy Runs” race in Birkenfeld. Hosted and organized was the event by employees of the Elisabeth-Stiftung (Elisabeth Foundation), der Nahe-Zeitung (local newspaper) and den Profis vom LV Rheinland (professional association of the athletic sports -Rhineland).
Almost 600 participants started for the 10th anniversary edition of the run: 488 runners and 101 walkers. Wonderful late summer weather with almost 25°C maybe already a little too warm for the runners, but nevertheless made the event for participants and the audience a great sporting event.
As in the past, prior to the actual event four practice runs were held in order to become familiar with the 5.1 km long route which runs through very well developed forest tracks and a nature reserve area. And the hard training paid off for the 19 FRITSCH athletes, because this year, the team seized an excellent 6th place.
Front row, left to right: Selina Krieger, Tanja Scherer, Janine Allkofer, Sigrid Caspary and Petra Maynard
Middle row, left to right: Karl Sauerbeck, Marcel Hopfe, Sebastian Fritsch, Egbert Huwer, Hans-Werner Backes, Wolfgang Simon, Stefan Richter, Jan Bender, Swen Donauer and Markus Presser
Back row, left to right: Tobias Buchen, Thomas Loch, Christopher Fischer and Tim Schneider
Of course are the FRITSCH colleagues glad about this athletic achievement. Congratulations!
